This family of faith has gathered for more than 200 years to worship
God, and has dispersed to serve God in our community and in the world.  Affiliated with the Presbyterian Church USA, the Synod of the Northeast
and the Presbytery of Geneva, we seek to grow in faith and service to
our Lord Jesus Christ.  You are invited to join in this adventure, living

Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church of Bath, New York!  Whether you are new to our area, just passing through, or curious about churches in this part of New York State, you have come upon an amazing worshipping community.

We were the first incorporated church in the Village of Bath and celebrated our 200th Anniversary in 2008. Though the village precedes us in its incorporation, we were not far behind.

Over the years, our church community has grown, while outgrowing several worship sites, but we always have been 'on the square' - Pulteney Square, that is, right in what is now call the historic section of our little village. Our current building replaced a wooden framed structure during the 1880's and even added a large addition housing classrooms, office space, and a wonderful fellowship hall which was completed in the early 1990's.

We have been a presence throughout these past two centuries, dealing with the changing landscapes of American culture with faith in God, trusting we would minister under our gracious God's guidance. We continue to do so as the changes in life in our present day America challenge us.

There is an abundance of life within our church. If you only want to stop by for a quick tour (our sanctuary is definitely worth seeing), care to join in a Sunday worship service (we offer two), or are searching for that faith community where you can settle down, get rooted while encouraged to grow, check us out.  Call or stop by. Our church doors are open with some type of activity every day of the week.
